The Reading-American Soccer Club ws established under the name of Germania Soccer Club by a group of German soccer players and soccer enthusiasts.

On April 26, 1926 Germania merged with the Reading Liederkranz, and the Sport Club legally became the Sports Division of the Reading Liederkranz.

Today the Germania Soccer Club consists of 4 divisions: a youth division for 19year olds and under, an over 20 men's team, an over 30 men's team, and an over 40 men's team.
