You don’t have to be German to have fun at the Reading Liederkranz! We are a German-American social club located in Reading Pennsylvania with over 2000 members scattered across the world. Situated on top of Mount Penn in Berks County on 10+ acres, our goal is to promote German culture as well as the countries who helped shaped German culture. Through special events like our Oktoberfest and Maifest, Christkindlmarkt, our Schweinshaxen and Schnitzelfest dinners, and much more, we celebrate German traditions and history while creating our own with our members.

While we are a member Club, we do have events, live music, and more open to the general public. Dining in our Clubhouse is open to the public as well but we ask you to sign our Guest book at the front door when joining us for a delicious German meal. Please note only members are allowed to purchase alcohol on site unless it is a public event or private rental. Membership is open to join the Reading Liederkranz and you don’t need to be German. Parking

We are located at 143 Spook Lane, Reading PA 19606. We are close by to the Pagoda, Stokesay Castle, and Antietam Lake.

ClubHouse

Join us for dinner in our Clubhouse. Kitchen opens at 5 pm and closes at 9 pm for the evening, Wed to Fri. Just seat yourself when you come in and one of our staff will take care of you for the evening.

Grove and pavilion

Our Grove and Biergarten is picture perfect and a great place to relax during the warmer months. Food and drinks service are available either by table service or our Outside Kitchen and Bar. You will feel like you are in the Bavarian Alps when you visit.

Stammtisch

Enjoy the company of fellow members in our Stammtisch area. (Just to the left from the front entrance)

Host a private event at the RLK!

*Our location on top of a mountain is perfect for weddings, graduations, birthdays, and more. We offer numerous packages for rentals of our Grove and Clubhouse. Find out more by checking our our* *Rentals page*.

Bars

Inside

Grab your favorite beverage from our bar inside the Clubhouse. Pull up a chair and meet some fellow members while raising your steins. Prost!

Outside

Our outside bar is top notch and serves members perfectly in the biergarten.

Please note only members are allowed to purchase alcohol on site except for public events.

Dogs allowed on site - Outside

Bring your pooch to the Club! We allow dogs on site when we are outside in the Grove and Biergarten. Please be mindful of your pet and make sure to clean up after them. We ask you refrain from bringing them during large events.
